Payment Information and Our Financial Policies
1) Payment Structure & Cancellation - The full price for a charter is paid in two equal installments
A) Installment A (Scheduling Deposit): 50% of the total trip price, plus applicable taxes, is due at the time of scheduling to confirm and hold your booking. This deposit is nonrefundable. If you need to cancel for any reason, the deposit will not be returned.
B) Installment B (Balance): The remaining 50% is due no later than 48 hours before the scheduled departure, but may be paid at any time previous to that. If you cancel more than 48 hours before the scheduled departure, the balance (Installment B) is refundable in full. If you cancel within 48 hours of the scheduled departure, the balance is nonrefundable.
2) Rescheduling
A) You may reschedule to an alternative date/time as availability on our scheduling page allows, up until 48 hours prior to your departure. There is a link to do this in your booking email you received right after scheduling with us.
B) If you do not board the vessel at the scheduled departure time and have not notified us in advance, the reservation may be canceled, and the balance is nonrefundable.
3) Weather and Mechanical Disruptions
A) If Sailing with Paul Porter must cancel due to weather, mechanical issues, or safety concerns:
a) You may choose a full refund of all payments received (both deposits and any balance paid), or
b) You may opt for a rescheduled trip on a mutually agreed date, without additional charges.
B) If a trip is delayed or only partially completed due to weather, but reaches a safe alternative, refunds or credits will be considered per local regulations and at our discretion.
4) How to Cancel or Request to Reschedule
A) Use the buttons on the booking email you received after scheduling with us.
B) If the booking email is not available, please email us with the subject line reflecting your cancellation or reschedule here and please include:
a) Booking reference number
b) Passenger name(s)
c) Original departure date/time
d) Desired new date/time (for rescheduling, choosing an available option from our calendar page)
Processing Time: Allow up to 2 business days for review and confirmation.
5) Refund Processing
A) Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
B) Timelines: Refunds typically process within 5–10 business days after approval, depending on your payment processor.
6) Changes to Policy - We reserve the right to modify this policy. Any changes will apply to bookings affected after the date of modification, and we will notify you if applicable.
