Join us this August during the Perseid meteor shower for a multi-day sailing trip exploring the islands by day and watching meteors streak across the dark night sky, with little to no moonlight to interfere with the show. Your experience begins as you walk aboard the Anacortes ferry bound for Orcas Island, where Captain Paul will meet you for our first afternoon exploring Orcas by land. The following three days will be camping, hiking, sailing, paddle boarding, and fully immersing ourselves in the beauty of these beautiful islands.

Walk on to Orcas Island
Your ferry will arrive at the Orcas Island ferry terminal at around 10:30am, where Captain Paul will be waiting to greet you and bring you on an island tour.

Mountain Lake
On a warm summer day theres nothing more refreshing then swimming in the lakes and exploring with our paddle boards before heading to lunch.

Buck Bay Shellfish
Enjoy lunch featuring fresh seafood and a wide selection of delicious options, served outdoors at one of Orcas Island’s iconic summer lunch spots.

Sucia Island
Step aboard Windy as we sail to our base camp for the next three nights. Sucia offers beautiful hikes and sheltered bays , and easy access to nearby islands.

This itinerary designed for ideal viewing of the Perseid meteor shower in the deep darkness of the night sky.

Explore Echo bay
Wake at base camp to breakfast and a morning walk before setting sail to explore Ewing Cove and Sucia’s Finger Islands. Sucia is known for its unique sandstone formations. Later enjoy a shared meal before the meteor show returns.

Sail to Matia
The next day, we sail to Matia Island, which is often considered the crown jewel of the San Juan Islands, accessible only by private boat. The island features a mile-long loop trail with hidden coves and a beach for our picnic lunch.

Morning at Clark Island
Before returning to Orcas Island to board the ferry, we sail to Clark Island to enjoy its long sandy beach and peaceful nature walks along its sandy shores.

Returning home
After a full experience together, we will say our goodbyes and send you off to the ferry by taxi from the marina.

General Information
How do we reserve our trip?
Email us with your preferred date to reserve your trip. A 50% non-refundable deposit by credit card confirms your booking, with the remaining 50% collected at the dock prior to departure.
What is included in the all-inclusive trip price?
One round of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, an appetizer, snacks, and photographic coverage of your trip by Captain Paul.
What’s not included in the trip price?
All onshore expenses, gratuity, and transportation to and from the boat.
Can we request a custom itinerary?
Yes, within the time and area of our charter. If you’d like to create a journey elsewhere, please let us know.
What are the guest requirements?
Guests must be comfortable boarding and moving around a sailboat, able to swim, willing to wear a provided life jacket, and meet a per-person weight limit of 250 lbs, with a maximum total of 850 lbs for up to four guests.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions & preferences?
With advance notice, we’re happy to accommodate when possible. Just include any details in your email.
What is your age limitation?
Our age limitation is based on the size of our child life jackets, which typically fit children around 4–5 years old depending on weight. Please specify in your email, as we love having families aboard.
