We’ve designed this itinerary with an outbound and inbound journey, giving you more time to enjoy each island and anchorage. Ponza, our changeover island, is easily accessible by ferry from the mainland, and we’re happy to assist with your travel planning.

Welcome aboard! We begin our journey at Marina d'Arechi, settling into your new home for the week. We depart for a scenic sail along the Amalfi Coast to a unique lunch stop accessible only by boat. Our first day concludes with dinner aboard and the lights of Positano by night.

Spend the morning exploring Positano's charming streets and boutiques before the tourist ferries arrive. After sailing westward, we discover Nerano's hidden grottos, once believed to be the sacred realm of Homer's Sirens. The afternoon brings swimming and relaxation before a special dinner ashore.

Leaving the Amalfi Coast behind, we sail to the island of Capri, navigating among iconic grottos, super-yachts, and dramatic limestone arches. After lunch and a swim, we cross the Gulf of Naples to Ischia, where we anchor beneath Castello Aragonese, an island castle once home to exiled royalty and medieval nobility.

Our day begins with a soak in the thermal hot springs of Sorgeto, where healing mineral waters bubble directly into the sea. By afternoon, we dock at Ventotene's 2,000-year-old Roman harbor, still functioning as carved by ancient engineers. Evening brings us to a family-run trattoria serving scorpion fish and the island's prized Pandataria wine.

After a morning sail, we stop for lunch under Ponza's natural arches. By the afternoon, we anchor at Palmarola, described by Jacques Cousteau as "the Mediterranean's most beautiful island." We explore massive sapphire grottoes and dine at a rustic beachside restaurant serving the day's catch as the sun sets over the Tyrrhenian Sea.

Morning takes us to Ponza's crescent harbor with its iconic rainbow-hued buildings. Here, we can explore the island in a convertible Mini Cooper, buzzing through ancient tunnels, charming hilltop villages, and exclusive swimming beaches. The alternative is to enjoy another day in paradise anchored off Palmerola. Our farewell dinner aboard features local seafood and a chance to reflect on an unforgettable week.

We welcome you aboard at Ponza Marina with a celebratory lunch before setting sail for the island of Palmarola. The afternoon reveals sheer white cliffs and cathedral-like sea caves anchored off this crown jewel of the Pontine Islands. We dine at a secluded beachside restaurant, where fresh seafood is served with sunset views.

Our morning begins in a secluded anchorage beneath the dramatic cliffs of Palmarola, home to rare dwarf palms that give the island its name. After a mid-morning sail, we pause for a swim through Ponza's natural arches on our way to the ancient Roman port of Ventotene. In the evening, we gather for dinner, enjoying the island's specialties of scorpion fish and local Pandataria wine in a plaza carved from volcanic tuff.

After lunch near the iconic Faraglioni sea stacks, we continue to the Amalfi Coast. The evening finds us anchored outside Nerano, enjoying a special seafood dinner ashore.

Visit the hidden grottoes of Nerano by tender and paddleboard. After lunch, we sail along the dramatic coastline to the town of Positano with its pastel buildings cascading down to the sea. After an afternoon shopping in boutiques, we enjoy dinner aboard with the beautiful view of Italy's most photogenic coastal town.

Salerno
Our day begins in Positano, where we explore its winding stairways before the crowds arrive. By midday, we are in a secluded cove for lunch at a rustic restaurant accessible only by boat. Our final sail passes Amalfi's historic port toward Marina d'Arechi for a farewell dinner featuring coastal specialties and local wines.

Final Day
After a wonderful week in the islands, we wake up in our final destination at Marina d'Arechi. The marina offers efficient access to taxis for a morning flight from Naples, a train to Rome or wherever your Italian vacation takes you next.

The Dufour 48 is a beautifully designed catamaran offering comfort, space, and style, ideal for sailing the Italian coast. On deck, guests enjoy two large daybeds on the flybridge, a wrap-around lounge perfect for taking in the views, and a spacious, shaded cockpit dining area where many memorable meals are shared at anchor.
Below deck, our catamaran offers three private guest staterooms, each with a walk-around queen bed, en-suite bathroom, and full-size shower. Cabins feature ample storage and natural light, 220V and USB outlets, and thoughtful touches like high-quality linens and towels for a comfortable stay.
